Pest control, a mini-game and safe which is an battle based activity that involves co-operative members. This is a game of defending Void Knight from monsters attack as well as destroying evil portals that produces new monsters to kill Void Knight. This rs07 pest control can be played by a group of 5 to 25 players and is located at Void Knights station, south side of the World.
The main aim of this mini-game is to eradicate all portals that generates new monsters that targets Void Knight. There are various monsters that invade the island at different levels of the game, and tries to kill the Void Knight. Different types of monsters of rs07 pest control includes: Brawler, Defiler, Ravanger, Shifter, Spinner, Splatter, and Torcher. Except Shifters, all other monsters can teleport. Brawlers are the monsters, that look intimidating, but are not hard to kill. Brawlers takes up more space, making it difficult to kill them. Their attack style is melee and is not easy to walk through. They are encountered at combat levels 50, 75, 101, 128, and 157. Defiler are range based monsters, not difficult to kill and they do not cover much space. They are seen in 33, 50, 67, 84, and 100 combat levels.
Ravanger are melee based monsters that destroys barricades and gates, but are not strong. These are seen in 36, 52, 70, 88, and 105 combat levels. Shifter can teleport easily through walls too, making them potential monsters. They are immune to poison and also attacks with melee. The combat levels players see them is 36, 57, 76, 90 and 104. Spinners, most irritating monsters, as they can heal the portals and will not react for the attacks. They are seen at 37, 55, 74, 87 and 92 combat levels. Splatters looks silly, but explodes when they are killed, damaging nearby pests and players. In addition, they explode instantly when they move to adjacent gates and barricades. Seen on 22, 33, 44, 54 and 65. Torchers are magic based monsters, attacking Void Knight and players even from a long distance. They are mostly seen on 33, 49, 67, 79, 91 or 92.
It is believed that players attacking style affects a monster that comes from the portal, which is actually not true. Because, these monsters shows up randomly. When a monster cannot be walked through, it means you cannot use any of your weapons against them. Instead, players have to go to destroy portals, and to protect the Void Knight from monsters attack, some of the players have to remain there. Using magic and range, players have to guard the Void Knight.
